once I saw a sylph
in the daylight
as air drafts
sailed worn gossamer
to ruined silo home
nestled on the edge
of a golden field
fired by the waxing sun
in the dark
she drifted out
bade by grieving gales
to swirl in the stream
unstirred overhead
dancing on the blade
of the sickle moon
I thought I heard laughter
I know I felt rain

Aerie
I saw a sylph
in the daylight
as air drafts
sent it to silo home
on the edge
of a golden grain field
in the dark it drifted out
bade by grieving gales
to swirl in the pristine
stream overhead
I thought I heard laughter
I know I felt rain
in the daylight
as air drafts
sent it to silo home
on the edge
of a golden grain field
in the dark it drifted out
bade by grieving gales
to swirl in the pristine
stream overhead
I thought I heard laughter
I know I felt rain

There are so many other things I should being doing right now...
Caustic
obscure my cure if nothings
left in sickly sweat I lie
to myself in pride I stand
and stride out of vacant
mind sterile time
wasted atrophy
my crime and guilty
I am running from the sun
shined shell of my self
medicated cadence
slows internal
rhyme and speed
my aging frame from twenty
strong to sixty frail
glass holds a caustic cure
conducted though toxic tunnels
crumble after acrid arson
grass grows
unfettered mowed
down in prime
numbered graphic health
my body holds wealth
liquid assets traded stock
family jewels stolen
thieves mock in quiet talk
who knew platinum
plating rusted you
obscure my cure if nothings
left in sickly sweat I lie
to myself in pride I stand
and stride out of vacant
mind sterile time
wasted atrophy
my crime and guilty
